Toronto Suomi Lions Club is committed to helping meet the needs of the local community.
When Byling Truong, a student at the Riverdale Collegiate Institute in Toronto, came to Lion Charlie with great enthusiasm after becoming a member of the newly founded Riverdale Raiders Robotics Team and asked for possible sponsorship for their rookie team in November 2015, Lion Charlie saw it as an opportunity to serve and give back to the local community by Toronto Suomi Lions Club. And everything else then turned into history:
In January 2016 Toronto Suomi Lions Club becomes the Platinum Sponsor of R3P2 Team.
This Friday March 4th 2016, R3P2 team is playing in the First Robotics Canada competition at Ryerson University – (Mattamy Athletic Centre, 50 Carlton Street, Toronto). Take a look at this event’s public agenda! We’ll be there to cheer them up!
